EON wants to develop a better relationship with customers, and a new rewards program aims to achieve just that. It’s called E.ON Rewards, and the way it works is EON customers earn Reward Points throughout the year which can be exchanged for rewards, which include Tesco Clubcard points and high street gift vouchers.

E.ON Rewards’ points system

While all customers can sign up to E.ON Rewards, you have to be on an eligible tariff to collect reward points. Currently, all dual fuel and electricity-only tariffs satisfy eligibility requirements. Gas-only tariffs are not eligible for E.ON Rewards. Additionally, if you are on a fixed term tariff from before 6^th December 2013, you are not eligible for reward points.

What are the Rewards?

Currently, these are Tesco Clubcard points or high street vouchers only.

How much is a single Reward point worth?

There is no set value of an E.ON Reward point, however to give you an example of a point’s value, the value of 1 E.ON Reward point is equivalent to 1 Tesco Clubcard point, as you can exchange your E.ON points for the same number of Clubcard points. Conversely, 1,500 E.ON Reward points only equates to £15 worth of Bonusbond (high street) gift vouchers.

How many points can I earn?

You can earn a maximum of 1,500 Reward Points a year.

When do E.ON Reward points expire?

Each point has a life span of 2 years.

How do I sign up for E.ON Rewards?

If you satisfy E.ON’s eligibility requirements (above), then you can join the Rewards program online or on the phone. Call E.ON on 0843 770 5036 to get started, or log in to your online account and go to the E.ON Rewards section to sign up. If you do not have an online account, then you can register for one within a couple of minutes. Our experience tells us that it is easier to contact E.ON on the phone, however. And remember, you can sign up to E.ON Rewards at any time whether you are a new or existing EON customer.

How do I get my Rewards?

Once you have earned Reward points, you can exchange them for Tesco Clubcard points or Bonusbond gift vouchers. All you have to do is log in to your online E.ON account and head over to the Rewards section and follow the instructions to exchange your points for Rewards. At this stage, you will get the opportunity to choose which Reward you’d like.
