Account in credit E.ON refund?

By Energy Company Numbers on July 7, 2015 in eon, Help and advice

During the summer and spring, it is common to receive an energy bill showing your account as in credit if you pay by Direct Debit. The reason for this is that you are not using all of the energy that you are paying for. Usually, customers find that they are in credit by around £100, but some people find themselves in credit by more. Additionally, some people find that they are in credit after they have switched supplier.

If you have received your E.ON bill and it shows your account as in credit, then you can request a refund from them. If you do not request a refund, then the total amount of credit you have will be automatically used during the winter when you use more energy (assuming you are still a customer of E.ON). It is up to you whether or not you choose to request a refund – most people tend to let their E.ON credit stay in their account so that their winter energy bills are less of a burden. If you do wish to get an E.ON refund, however, then the following information will help you:
